Meet Tickyboom Design - Bay Area, CA

Our Mission.

Our mission is to create work that is authentic, impacting and helps make your vision come to life. Our mission is to treat every job with care and importance.

We also want to make sure our work is helping bring goodness into this world, by working with brands and individuals that want to make a difference in this world.

We are constantly striving to understand new technologies and are working hard everyday to level up our art.

We aren't afraid to say "We don't know, but we will learn and find out an answer", and you will always know where we stand with a project. We don't hold back, but we do it with love.

At the end of the day, we want to roll up our sleeves, and get to work. We want to create engaging and powerful work. We are in this for the long haul.

Tickyboom Mission Statement

noun / tyy-ckee-b0OO00-mm

A word made up of a husband and wife's names melded together. Tim handles the 'Ti' part, while Nicky handles the 'cky' part. The 'boom' comes from the impact of our work.

Meet Tim

Tim has always been artsy since he was a kid. He grew up in the Briones Hills with only nature and a cat. He went on to Study at Academy of Art in SF for Graphic Design. Tim loves to create abstract drawings and do street photography. In fact, Tim did a project where he went to all 44 Bart Stations in the Bay Area to capture life around the stations. Interesting.

Tim is also weirdly obsessed with making art around the everyday, common areas of life. Here is to mundane pixels!

A little note:
Once created over 1000 screens while working on the responsive design for Toys R Us

Meet Nicky

Nicky is our tactile wizard here at Tickyboom. Nicky graduated from San Luis Obispo with a BFA in Graphic Design and if she could, she would make her designs come to life and dance around. Nicky loves Dia De Los Muertos, and loves to make little skulls out of clay. Nicky doesn't bake cookies, but she will bak a Dia De Los Muertos skull.

Nicky was very involved in Younglife, and was a former Young Life camp T-shirt designer and can't remember how many she's designed. Probably hundreds. She loves to represent Younglife by wearing a design from time to time.

A little note:
Favorite and final semester of her Cal Poly years included Glassblowing, Metal Sculpture, Ceramics, and Psychology.
