A trip of change

While Tim was down in Baja with Inalienable he was transformed by witnessing the life and conditions of the people in that community. One of the amazing things that Inalienable does is provide birth certificates for migrants in Baja. A birth certificate is not a common document that a migrant will have, but unlocks a world of aid and benefits that is so desperately needed. A birth certificate gives a migrant inalienable rights to live as a full and free human being.

The illustration design for this shirt encompasses Tim’s time in Baja, California. The outfit of The Migrant in the illustration is a common one worn by the workers in the field to shield them from harsh conditions. The mountains and sunset colors of the sky are a visual amalgamation of the community and feelings that Tim felt while down in Baja.
